Since Veterans Yoga Project kicked off in 2011, we've been on a mission to empower veterans and their families on the path to recovery and resilience. We're passionate, dedicated, and we know you share these values too!
Did you know a staggering 5.3 million U.S. veterans are grappling with service-connected disabilities? It's a heartbreaking reality.
At Veterans Yoga Project, we're dedicated to changing these numbers, we held over 5,000 free yoga classes last year, both in-person and online and we couldn't do that without your support.
Can I share a little piece of my heart? 
I'm a veteran's mom. My son, Lt. Colonel Terence Leach, is a Marine CH-53 helicopter pilot who has been on multiple tours, including Afghanistan. 
Today, he's still serving in the Marine Reserves. There were countless moments when I had no clue about his safety or location. As a trained yoga teacher, I leaned on yoga's mindfulness tools to navigate those tough times. 
In 2013, I joined the VYP family and learned these yoga tools could be a game-changer for veterans and their families. So, I rolled up my sleeves and started volunteering, teaching veterans, and serving on the board.

Veterans Gratitude Week (VGW), running from November 8-17, 2024, is a powerful initiative led by Veterans Yoga Project to honor and support military veterans through yoga and mindfulness practices. This week-long event brings communities together to promote holistic wellness and mental health for veterans, military families, and community.
As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, Veterans Yoga Project relies on the generosity of volunteers and donors to fuel its mission. Donations during VGW directly supports the delivery of nearly 5,000 free yoga classes annually, by funding the online yoga studio platform, teacher certifications, and the essential infrastructure needed to expand their reach. Every contribution—no matter the size—plays a vital role in continuing to provide these life-changing services. All donations are tax-deductible, helping more veterans access the healing tools they deserve.
It's a time to give back and show gratitude to those who have served, while supporting their mental and physical well-being.
