Two years ago I was introduced to the Veterans Yoga Project and have since been profoundly inspired by the work they are doing to help Veterans through yoga and mindfulness based practices. In 2017 I presented at the Veterans Yoga Project Summit, at the Feathered Pipe Ranch in Montana, on the subject of developing a mindfulness based practices with children. Being able to partake in the candle lighting ceremony during the Summit was a gift and I have tremendous gratitude for being able to honor my dad (and many others) in our favorite place, the mountains . I returned from the summit even more inspired to serve those who have served and have since taken on the volunteer role of North Central Regional Director for the organization. Please help me, help those who are helping, those who have served by lighting a candle in honor someone special to you.

We invite you to participate in Light-A-Candle, by making a dedication to honor those who have served. This year we are partnering with A Network for Grateful Living to bring our community a unique experience of being able to light a virtual candle for your personal intention.Your gift will go directly to support recovery and resilience among our veterans, families, and communities. These programs include more than 100 free Mindful Resilience yoga classes across the USA, training scholarships and healing retreats for veterans.
