A VYP Ambassador is a dedicated volunteer — either a teacher or community member — who wholeheartedly believes in VYP’s mission. Having personally experienced the benefits of our programs, Ambassadors share their stories authentically and openly, helping to spread awareness and engagement. Well-connected within their communities and active on social media, they leverage their networks to promote VYP and its events. Ambassadors serve as a vital link between the organization, Veterans, and local communities. They represent VYP in their local areas and educate the public and Veteran communities about who we are and our work while fostering meaningful connections.

The Ambassador Program Manager oversees the Veterans Yoga Project (VYP) Ambassador Program and serves as the primary point of contact for all Ambassadors nationwide. This role ensures a smooth onboarding process, consistent communication, and effective coordination of outreach activities, supporting VYP’s mission to enhance recovery and resilience among Veterans, their families, and their communities.

Responsible for organizational and campaign communications in support of maintaining the VYP brand, Launching campaigns and providing support for the development and maintenance of marketing assets.  Includes creating content for multi-channel campaigns, website content, newsletters, social media, articles and brand  assets.  Prior marketing communications experience required.  Proficiency in Canva, emarketing packages, social media schedulers preferred.  Seeking 5-10 hrs a week, remote, 6 month commitment minimum.  Works directly with the Marketing Director

We are looking for a Development Associate to support Veterans Yoga Project’s fundraising operations, with a focus on grants, donor stewardship, events, and data management to advance VYP’s mission. The Development Associate will also participate in the full range of activities required to seek, acquire, and manage grants from foundations, corporations, other nonprofit organizations, civic groups, and governmental entities.

VYP is looking for a passionate and experienced Event Planner reporting to the Director of Development and working with the executive team to lead the design, coordination, and execution of mission-aligned community engagement events that support our Mindful Resilience Program and overall development goals. This role ensures that national signature events and regional activities run smoothly, reflect VYP’s values, and helps generate both revenue and awareness.

Veterans Yoga Project is seeking a dedicated and organized Volunteer Grant Writer to identify, research, and apply for grant opportunities. The ideal candidate will craft compelling narratives that align our mission with the priorities of grant makers, helping to secure funding for programs and general operations. 

This person is responsible in working directly with VYP's Director of Marketing in creating content to promote VYP marketing campaigns across social media platforms including FB, Instagram and LinkedIn.  Work on strategic campaigns, VYP training Programs or VYP branding efforts.  Seeking candidate with some social media proficiency and familiarity with social media schedulers such as Hootsuite is preferred.  Knowledge of Canva for post creation a plus! Flexible schedule, remote opportunity for 5-7 hours a week, six month commitment preferred

The Teacher Alliance Events Coordinator serves as a vital link between HQ and teachers, ensuring seamless collaboration for key organizational events. This role supports two primary fundraising initiatives — Light-A-Candle and Veterans Gratitude Week (VGW) — as well as the All Hands Musters and other events requiring teacher involvement.

The Teacher Development Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting new teachers as they transition into the VYP community. Following their onboarding with the HR Team and acceptance into the Teachers Alliance, the Specialist collaborates closely with the Teachers Alliance Manager and HR Team to ensure each new teacher has a smooth and successful integration into VYP.

VYP is seeking a volunteer lead with video editing experience to maintain and support our online yoga practice video library. They must be proficient with and have their own video/audio editing software and be able to upload and utilize all social media platforms.

As a vital member of the Veterans Yoga Project, the VYP Purchasing Manager is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our outreach efforts and yoga classes. The manager places the orders, follows up with them, sends receipts and invoices to accounting, and ensures items arrive.

The Special Events Coordinator should be an organized and communicative volunteer who enjoys collaborating, planning, and coordinating events to provide education and training to our amazing VYP family. This position reports directly to the Director of Programs and will likely collaborate with other executive team members, including the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer.

The VYP webmaster is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's website, ensuring it functions smoothly, is visually appealing, and effectively communicates the organization's mission, while also optimizing its online presence throughSEO strategies to attract potential donors, volunteers, and supporters; requiring strong technical skills in website development, content management systems, web analytics, and excellent communication to collaborate with various teams within the nonprofit.
